Mumbai: In a time when drug abuse has become one of the most pressing social issues in India, filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari takes a courageous step with his upcoming tele web film “Dongari to Mumbra.” Produced under the banner of S Sameer Films Production and Big Concern Films, the project aims to create awareness about the increasing influence of drug culture among today’s youth.
The film is produced by Sayyed Sameer Husain and Saud A. Chandle, with Sultan Mufrid as Co-Producer. Written and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film promises a realistic portrayal of the drug world, highlighting how it traps innocent minds and ruins lives.
The shoot is being carried out across authentic Mumbai locations like Dongari, Mumbra, Charni Road, Library, and Mumbai Central — areas known for their diversity and raw street energy.
“Dongari to Mumbra is not just a story — it’s a reflection of reality,” says director Nitesh Tiwari. “We want people to see the pain behind the glamour and the truth behind addiction.” The film will stream soon on leading OTT platforms.
